How first / last frame mode works
Upload a first frame (required) and optionally a last frame. The model generates motion that connects them—ideal for product reveals, morphs, and controlled transitions.
Tagline: “Upload first and optional last frames, describe motion, and generate with Seedance 2.0 or VEO3.1.”
Frame uploads
First frame is marked Required in the UI. Last frame is optional.
Upload hints specify JPEG, PNG, or WebP (max 10 MB shown in the uploader).
If you omit a last frame, describe motion in the prompt instead (“camera pushes in slowly”).
Model differences
Settings mirror Text to Video with frame-specific behavior:
- Seedance 2.0 — duration 4–15s; aspect control via adaptive ratio; last-frame With/Without toggle in advanced options
- VEO 3.1 — duration 4/6/8s; pick 16:9 or 9:16 explicitly; last-frame toggle hidden (not used)
- Switching to VEO 3.1 hides last-frame controls—plan framing in the first frame
Better frame pairs
Align perspective, scale, and lighting between frames to reduce morphing artifacts:
- Keep the subject in similar positions in both frames
- Match color temperature between start and end
- Use last frame when you know the exact end composition
- Prompt camera path explicitly: pan, dolly, orbit, or static with subject motion
