What Video to Video does
Upload reference video clips plus a prompt; Seedance 2.0 produces new footage guided by motion, style, and optional still or audio references.

Reference video requirements
The UI enforces these limits:
- 1–3 reference video clips
- Combined reference length ≤ 15 seconds
- Each clip height between 480 and 720 pixels
- Do not upload footage containing real people (shown in on-screen help text)
- Optional: up to 9 reference images
- Optional: up to 3 audio clips, ≤ 15 seconds total
Prompting for Video to Video
Describe what should change versus what should stay: “Keep camera path from reference, replace environment with futuristic city at dusk.”
Shorter reference cuts are easier for the model to follow than long, busy clips.
Output settings
Duration 4–15 seconds, standard aspect ratios, 480p–1080p quality, sound and last-frame advanced options, optional public gallery.
Only Seedance 2.0 is supported for this workflow.
